Week 12 -
Top Games of the Weekend:
Preview and Predictions
Illinois @ (3) Michigan 12/11(c) - ABC

Illinois has struggled of late, but the defense of the Ilini is no joke. They could give Michigan a run for their money this weekend, and I'm excited to see it. This is Michigan's final test before Ohio State and many fans around the country will be cheering against the Big Blue. At the end of the day, I believe Michigan will pull it out relying on their running game, but don't count out Illinois today.
Prediction: Michigan
(7) USC @ (18) UCLA 8/7(c) - FOX
The two biggest games of the weekend are going to be coming out of the PAC 12 Conference. USC has to win this rivalry game convincingly if they want to have a chance at the playoffs this year. Right now, their record doesn't qualify for the final spot in the CFP. I don't like the USC defense as they rank as one of the worst in the country. UCLA on the other hand has what some say is the most electrifying player in the country running the offense for the Bruins in QB Dorian Thompson-Robinson. I think UCLA will get the upset at home this weekend against their cross-town rival.
Prediction: UCLA
(9) Utah @ (12) Oregon 10:30/9:30(c) - ESPN
After taking an early loss in the year to the #1 Georgia Bulldogs on the road, the Oregon Ducks picked up the pieces and continued fighting for their season until last weekend. Will they find that same mentality as earlier in the year after taking a tough loss last weekend against Washington?

Each of these teams come in as two loss teams and are really just playing to win their conference with no shot at a national title unless some crazy things were to happen in the next couple weeks. Heisman hopeful QB Bo Nix got hurt last weekend and you can argue him going out ultimately led to their defeat. The big question will be how he will respond after last week.
This will be a high-profile game and fun to watch. There is no clear edge here as Utah will bring the defense, and Oregon will bring the offense.
Prediction: Utah
There are only two ranked matchups happening this weekend, so I figured I would offer my prediction of what I believe the Top 6 teams will be in the CFP Rankings. These are the official final season projections:
Georgia
Michigan
Tennessee
Ohio State
USC
TCU
